Steamlined safety glasses with Contrast lenses for work use offering a wide 180-degree panoramic view. Designed for indoors use. Ideal choice for production facilities, laboratory use, healthcare needs, etc. where the source of artificial light is close to the workstation, and not high, eg on the ceiling, and you also want to protect yourself from blue light harmful to the eyes. The angle of the lenses can be vertically adjusted with the temple arm hinges for perfect fit. The lens profile design is very curved and protective on the sides and top. Non-slip nose bridge and Tipgrip temple arm tips complete the excellent fit. The optics of the high-quality polycarbonate lens offer comfort for long-term use. Protects eyes from UVA, UVB and UVC rays up to 190 nm, blue light, harmful sun rays and low-energy mechanical hazards (6 mm 0.86 g metal ball 45 m / s), even at extreme temperatures. Advantages of contrast coating: - Designed for work use especially in rooms with lots of artificial light in close proximity (halogen, neon, etc.). - Filters up to 30% of blue light harmful to the eyes, protecting the retina from damage - Significantly reduces eye strain in strong artificial lighting, thus improving working comfort. Also reduces the likelihood of headaches. - Thermal reflectivity of the lens also protects the eyes from premature aging - Improves contrast, perspective and color separation Technical information: Frame marking: EN166 FT CE Lens marking: 5-1.1 / 1.4 1 FT CE Certification: EN166, EN172 UVA / UVB protection: 99.99% up to 400 nm UVC protection: 99.99% up to 190 nm Essential safety information for those working in artificial lighting: To protect against invisible but dangerous UV radiation from artificial light, it is essential to check the wavelength of the light produced by the luminaire: UVA (315-380 nm), UVB (280-315 nm) or UVC (100-280 nm). At the same time, it should be noted that the test methods of the EN166 eye protection standard do not include protection against UVC at all! The EN166 standard includes a UV light filtration test only between 280 nm and 380 nm, which is why almost all goggles on the market only protect against UVA and UVB rays. To protect against UVC (eg in quality control in the electronics industry) choose one of the following safety glasses: Bollé Safety Contour (ESP or clear), Axis (Contrast or clear), Mamba (clear) or Viper (clear) and Squale (clear), which also provide protection at UVC wavelengths from 190 nm to 280 nm. Of the lens materials of the goggles: When you need comprehensive UV protection, you may want to choose a polycarbonate lens; it provides protection from UVA and UVB, and the best also from UVC. |
