Target audience:
Rescue departments, industrial rescue divisions, voluntary fire brigades, ski resort and adventure park operators, rope access workers and all other who can benefit from preparedness of rescue ability in areas where there is a risk of fall.
Goal:
To learn basic principles of rescue at height and gain ability to perform pre-determined rescue act in defined work situations.
Content:
- Approaching the victim safely
- Choosing or creating a safe anchor point and choosing the most efficient rescue method
- Picking off the victim and evacuation
Can also be organized as advandced training. Then content:
- Creating anchor points to areas where there are no existing anchor points
- Dividing anchor points
- Partner rescue in rope access situation
- Rescuing upwards and to sides in confined space
- Advantages and disadvantages of different pulleys systems
More detailed content defined after work task evaluation. Content can also be customized to needs (for example ski lift evacuation at determined ski lift).
Additional information:
Participation does not require previous experience of work at height or rescue. This training is however suitable for all who have attended other Work at height Basics trainings, or who want to deepen rescue skills, make them more versatile or just want to refresh basic rescue skills at height.
Available in Finnish and English.
Can be organized at the end customer’s facility or at our training center in Helsinki.
Price includes the use of all PPE needed in the training.
Participants will receive a certificate which identifies the workers skills to perform work tasks at height.
Circumstances where fall protection PPE are required are demanding. Therefore we recommend refreshing the training every 12 months.
The following manufacturers PPE will be used in the training: Edelrid, CT, Ikar, Sicurpal.
Possible kilometer allowance and overnight accommodation fee will be added to the training cost.
