Sähkönumerot.fi service
The electrical sector in Finland identifies each product using the same code across all IT systems in the delivery chain. These product codes, known as sähkönumero (electrical number), are issued by the Finnish Electrotechnical Trade Association (STK).
The Sähkönumerot.fi product data service includes around 240,000 active products from 500 suppliers and approximately 1,500 brands. The product information is widely utilized across the industry's supply chain—by contractors, designers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and importers—as well as in industry-specific software solutions.
STK's goal is to provide clear, comprehensive, and accurate product information. All data is provided by suppliers and importers themselves.
Using the Sähkönumerot.fi service is free of charge. Please read our terms of service (available in Finnish) for more details on permitted and prohibited uses of product information. See the examples below for further clarification.
Some Examples of Allowed and Disallowed Usages
Allowed Usages
- Individual product cards attached to an offer, documentation, or similar documents.
- Use of individual product images, documents, and other materials with the copyright owner's permission.
- Static linking to product data sheets.
Disallowed Usages
- Dynamic linking to product cards without an agreement with STK or STK's Software Partner through licensing.
- Integrating product cards into a user's own webpage without a separate agreement.
- Extracting product information in bulk (>5,000 products).
- Removing copyright or other rights notices from materials.
